Happy Sunday, all you beautiful people!
It was so nice having so many of you reach out to me this past week — even if it was because last weekend’s newsletter crashed and none of the links were working. 😅 While I truly appreciated hearing from so many of you, I’m very sorry it was due to that mess.
Here’s the long story short: The Expat Hustle is gaining a bit of traction on this magical interweb, and we decided to make things official by getting a custom domain. So fancy, I know! 💁♀️ But connecting this shiny new domain (www.theexpathustle.com) to the newsletter took more skills than I had, and... well, things went south pretty quickly after hitting send last week.
For those of you who feel like you missed out, don’t worry! You can catch the full newsletter on the web right here: https://newsletter.theexpathustle.com
Now that the tech gremlins have been tamed, here’s what we’re diving into this week:
🎭 Upcoming events you’ll actually want to attend
👀 A re-run of all the hot topics we’ve covered so far
🗣 A quick video lesson to help you sound more local than lost
So grab a cup of something strong (or sparkling), kick back, and let’s get into it!
✅ links working (fingers crossed!),
✅ newsletter humming
✅ hustle fully intact. 😎
Let’s go!

QUICK TIP
🛑 Heads up for U.S. expats!
Starting September 30, 2025, the IRS will no longer issue paper refunds by mail—you’ll need a U.S. bank account to receive any tax refunds.
As of now, there’s no indication that refunds will be sent to foreign accounts.
💡 If you don’t have a U.S. account, consider setting up an online banking service like Wise, Revolut, or another provider that offers U.S. account details for direct deposit.
Thanks to Mark Moberg at Green Ocean Global Advisors for the timely tip!
